In this session, we will review the health and safety legislation related to the Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS). We will review the elements of WHMIS such as who needs to take the training, what products are not covered by WHMIS, worker responsibilities, pictograms, signal words, hazard and precautionary statements, labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

We will go over log in procedures, where to find documents, incident reporting, and how to access the health and safety training. In this session, we will go over what ergonomics is and common injuries. I will present ways to help set up your workstation or vehicle according to recent ergonomic guidelines as well as some simple, quick exercises you can do to help prevent injuries.
